Let’s untangle it together

We can work on just about anything that’s on your mind. You don’t need to arrive with a clear goal, a neatly defined problem, or even the right words to describe what’s going on.

That said, I do have some topics I’ve spent more time working with and exploring. It doesn’t mean we can’t talk about something else. And if I feel that a different approach or specialist might be a better fit for what you need, we’ll talk about it openly. After all, finding the right support is what matters most, and you don’t have to figure that out on your own.

Stress & Anxiety

When your mind won’t switch off, even when you’d really like it to.

Perhaps you’re constantly worrying about what might happen, replaying conversations, trying to keep everyone happy, or feeling as though you’re always one step behind. Maybe you’re keeping everything going on the outside, but inside it feels like there are seventeen tabs open and at least one of them is playing music.

Maybe there’s no obvious reason for the way you feel, which somehow makes it even more frustrating. We can explore what’s contributing to the pressure you’re under, understand the patterns that keep you stuck, and find ways to navigate everyday life that feel more manageable. The aim isn’t to eliminate every difficult feeling, understand what’s happening and find ways of coping that work for you.

Sexuality, Identity & Intimacy

Figuring yourself out doesn’t have to mean fitting into a box.

Maybe you’re questioning your sexuality or gender. Maybe you know who you are, but don’t always feel comfortable being that person around others. Perhaps you’re curious about kink, exploring different kinds of relationships, or trying to work out what you want from intimacy.

I’m LGBTQ+ affirming, kink-positive, and I welcome conversations about desire, intimacy, and the things that can sometimes feel difficult to talk about elsewhere. This includes ethical non-monogamy (ENM): having multiple romantic or sexual relationships with everyone’s knowledge and consent. You might be exploring non-monogamy, navigating boundaries, or simply curious about what relationships could look like outside the usual script.

Whether you’re exploring, questioning, or already know what works for you, there’s no need to justify your choices or fit into a box. We can start wherever you are.

Let’s talk

Relationships & connection

Because people can be wonderful. And also, occasionally, very confusing.

Our relationships can be some of the most meaningful parts of our lives, and some of the most challenging. Perhaps you’re navigating difficulties in a romantic relationship, trying to make sense of family dynamics, struggling to set boundaries, or finding it hard to feel understood by the people around you.

We can explore the patterns you find yourself repeating, how you relate to others, and what you need from your connections. This isn’t about assigning blame or turning everyone in your life into a problem to solve. It’s about understanding yourself and finding ways of relating that feel healthier and more fulfilling.

Life direction & finding meaning

When life looks fine on paper, but something doesn’t quite add up.

You might have reached a point where the things that used to motivate you don’t seem to do much anymore. Perhaps you’ve done what you thought you were supposed to do, ticked a few boxes, and then discovered that the promised feeling of having made it hasn’t quite arrived. Or maybe you’re wondering whether the life you’ve built is actually the life you want.

Sometimes, the questions arrive in midlife. Sometimes, they show up after a major change, when the life you’ve built no longer feels quite like your own. You might be wondering what you’re working towards, whether you’ve made the right choices, or what the point of it all is supposed to be. Perhaps old sources of meaning no longer fit, and new ones haven’t appeared yet.

We can explore what matters to you now, what you might want to leave behind, and what a meaningful next chapter could look like, without needing to reinvent your entire life by Monday.

It took me three years to change careers, and possibly just as long to decide whether I should. Turns out, figuring out what you want isn’t always straightforward. You don’t have to do all that figuring out alone.

Does this sound like you?

Getting older

Growing older comes with changes nobody quite prepares you for.

There can be plenty to enjoy about getting older: perspective, a better sense of yourself, and perhaps finally caring a little less about what everyone thinks. But there can be difficult parts, too. Changes in your body, health, relationships, independence, or sense of identity can take some getting used to.

You might find yourself looking back at the life you’ve lived, wondering about the time ahead, or trying to reconcile how old you feel with the number on your birthday cake.

Whatever getting older means in your life, we can make room for the complicated bits as well as the good ones. After all, getting older is something we all have in common.

Let’s figure it out together

Bereavement & Loss

There’s no timetable for grief. And no right or wrong way to find your way through it.

Grief doesn’t follow a schedule, and it doesn’t always look the way we expect it to. Whether you’ve lost someone close to you, are anticipating a loss, or are living with a different kind of absence, we can make space for the sadness, anger, confusion, relief, or even the moments when you feel surprisingly happy.

We can talk about the person or thing you’ve lost, what life looks like now, and everything that comes with trying to make sense of it. You don’t have to grieve in a particular way, find a silver lining, or demonstrate that you’re moving forward. And you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.

Caring for someone with Dementia

When someone you love is changing, and you’re trying to keep up.

Caring for someone with dementia can be emotionally demanding in ways that are difficult to explain unless you’ve experienced them. You might be dealing with exhaustion, guilt, frustration, grief, or the feeling that your own needs have slipped to the bottom of an endless list.

You may find yourself grieving changes in the person you love while they are still here, or struggling with how your relationship has changed. Sometimes it may even feel like the loss of someone who is still alive.

There’s a particular kind of grief that can come with dementia, especially when the person you love is still here but your relationship with them is changing. We can make space for all of this, including the feelings that are not easy to admit out loud. You don’t have to be endlessly patient, selfless, or grateful for the opportunity to care. You’re a person in this situation, too, and your experience matters. We can make space for your experience, without judgement or expectations that you should somehow be coping better.

Disability, identity & life on your terms

You shouldn’t have to spend all your energy explaining your experience.

Disability can affect many parts of life, but it doesn’t look or feel the same for everyone. You might be adjusting to a diagnosis, living with a long-term condition, navigating changing abilities, or dealing with the assumptions other people make about you. Perhaps you’re tired of having to explain yourself, advocate for your needs, or fit into a world that wasn’t designed with you in mind.

There may be questions about identity, independence, relationships, work, or what the future might look like. Or you might want somewhere to talk about ordinary life without every conversation coming back to disability. We can explore whatever feels important to you, on your terms. You don’t need to be inspirational, endlessly resilient, or positive about everything. You can just be yourself.
