Life doesn’t come with a user manual

Genuine curiosity. Gentle challenge.
No motivational posters. Because “just stay positive” isn’t a strategy.

People are often surprised to learn that before becoming a counsellor, I spent over 20 years working with computers. I have a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Psychology, which, in hindsight, may have been an early sign that I had a few things to figure out.

For a long time, I built a career in tech. I enjoyed solving problems, understanding complex systems, and figuring out why things behaved the way they did. Over time, I became increasingly fascinated by the human side of things. Computers, it turns out, are often easier to understand than people. They’re also considerably less likely to bring their childhood into the conversation.

That curiosity eventually led me to train as a psychosynthesis counsellor. While it might seem like an unusual career change, it feels surprisingly natural to me. Both fields involve paying attention, looking beneath the surface, and making sense of complexity. The difference is that people aren’t problems to be solved. We are far more interesting than that.

I offer a space where you can speak openly about whatever is going on in your life. I’m not the kind of therapist who sits silently and nods for fifty minutes, pretending to have all the answers. Alongside thoughtful listening, I bring honesty, curiosity, and gentle challenge when it feels helpful.
